Users can select any transit station in Chicago to find a home nearby. By default we show all homes within 1/4 mile of any station but we allow you to change the radius once the search is done or before you start.

We also show grocery stores, banks, hospitals etc. surrounding the subject property. The icon legend on the right of map hides until needed, so you can have a large map view, until clicked on the open tab. The black row beneath the green map tool bar is hidden until needed. Just mouse over the Info icon to see more pertinent data.

The searches are easily done with sliders that have thousands of possible of combinations of price range sq ft etc. as opposed to the fixed numbers on most sites. There are more search options that are hidden until needed. Just click the show more search option button. The POI ( Points of interest) button lets you select from any of the hundreds of points of interest available in this area. Want to move to a home that is convenient to a hospital and a grocery store that you can walk to as well as transit station within walking distance?  Now you can find such a home online.

Lets say you have heard about Wicker park but do not know where it is?  Simply click the neighborhood and then select Wicker park on the map page. The map zooms in to that area and as  a bonus we show the boundaries of all neighborhoods in Chicago.  You can see the actual boundaries outlined on the map ( see below image) .

We also show a few of the homes in the nearby areas, outside the searched neighborhood  so you do not miss out in finding the exact home you want.
It might be only around the corner . This would not be fair to you to hide that home or homes that was across the boundary line by a block or so.

How many times have you said you only want to pay x # of dollars but found a home that was a little less or a little more. Or a home that was NOT in the exact areas you originally wanted.  This should help with your searches to find the ideal home.
Once you find a home click the "keeper " button to save it  for later viewing.  In the virtual agent center you can compare these homes, email them to a spouse, partner, friend or agent. It is possible to click the Add notes icon to write notes right to the webpage for later viewing or to send the link to somebody else  with your password so they can see the homes you looked at while online.  That person can login with your password to see all the homes you have saved and all the notes you have written about these homes.

How about seeing these homes you have just saved as keepers? You can now put a check mark next to each home then click Plan Route.  We  show you street by street directions to see these homes from any starting point. You will also have a map generated with a red line showing the route that has been computed. You can select your home address as starting point then select what homes you want to see in what order. You can print out the directions of the route from one home to another. It is possible to even select one of the keepers the starting point by using  the mls#. The map then computes the directions and time it takes to see these. You might even bring the map tour into our office after printing it for a more descriptive and informative tour.

With this new advanced map you can see street views of these houses, ( sample below) or see  surrounding homes on a map or even use our embedded Google Earth. ( Sample Below) You do not need to have this software on your PC, Just use the simple browser plug-in that is provided for Firefox and Internet Explorer. With the new street view functionality you can take a virtual drive around the neighborhood from thousands of miles away.

Click on any of the Metra or CTA line names to se that lines on the map. Click on any station to see that station on the map.  Click the icon for that station to see a popup info window that allows you to search for nearby homes right from the map.
